  • Attention all March Madness fans! There is a mega March Madness sale at the Trading Post. All prices are slashed! Head down to the trading post today through Friday, March 29th to get all your Newington gear and represent.
  • Baseball Tryouts will be held today in the gym. All players need to wear appropriate baseball attire; bring your glove, helmet and sneakers- no cleats! See Coach Alaimo in room 313 with questions. 12th graders 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, 11th graders 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm and 9th and 10th graders 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm.
  • A college rep from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will be here today at 12:00 pm during period 6. Any Junior or Senior interested in meeting with the rep, please make sure you sign up for the visit in Naviance and print your confirmation page to use as your pass.

Local manufacturing companies will be present to showcase their products and also speak with students about careers, apprenticeships and internships.   • Congratulations to the NHS Math Team for going undefeated this season and a division championship. The team will compete at the state competition in April. Great job and Good luck!
  • Future Business Leaders of America will be meeting in room 202 today after school. We will be passing out permission slips for our upcoming trip and discussing our upcoming fundraiser. Join us for a quick 15 minute meeting today.
  • Attention Table Tennis Club- We are meeting today in the café from 2:30-3:30. We will also be taking our yearbook photo. See Mr. Miller if you have any questions.
  • Today is the Day!!!! Q1 and Q2 were such a big hit, we are ready to have more fun at our Quarter 3 Family of Learner Event. Come join us as we have more fun with dodge ball, basketball, ice cream, music and obstacle courses from the National Guard. Can’t wait!

SNOW DAY – B – O – E – C

  • Boys Basketball advanced to the 2nd round if the state tournaments with a 76-63 win over Darien. They will play at Amity at 7:00 pm tonight.
  • Newington DECA brought 39 competitors to the Connecticut DECA competition. Students competed in various business topics. The day was a great success and we are very proud of all the competitors for their hard work and willingness to step out of their comfort zones. Please help congratulate Maggie Callahan, Cassie Mayer, Lauren Tougas, Evan Stanford, Sri Gudipudi, Emilio Cruz, Abby Molloy, Hannah Drew, Evan Lopes, Shihao Zhai, Lize Taschuk, Mekha Jebbu and Simao Cabral.
