  • Spring Sports Registration is open. Sign up before March 13th. Free physicals will be held on March 6th. Sign up in the nurse’s office today.
  • If you are interested in attending the field trips to CCSU’s School of business or MCC’s Culinary Arts Program, please see Mrs. Arnett in room 200A.
  • Attention Book Club Participants: Book Club will meets today after school to discuss Six of Crows. Books are due today as well. If you are unable to make the meeting, please return your book to the NHS Library. All are welcome.

Information on how to purchase a yearbook can be found in all senior homerooms. If you are interested in purchasing a book, but will not be able to pay for it by March 1st, please see Mrs. Mannes in Stoddard house or Mrs. Narowski in room 321.
  • The Box Office is open for the Spring Production of the musical Les Miserables. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for students and Senior Citizens. The box office is located in the auditorium lobby.
  • Do you think you have what it takes to beat the teachers and Newington Police Department in Basketball? We are looking for 4 teams, one for each grade to play. If so, please see Ms. Cote in room 212 to sign up to play in the 14th annual Ciara McDermott Basketball Classic to be held on Friday, March 29th. Any student is welcome to play.
  • There will be a field trip to the State Capitol for students interested in manufacturing and engineering on Wednesday, April 24th from 9 am – 1 pm to connect students to careers in manufacturing. Local manufacturing companies will be present to showcase their products and also speak with students about careers, apprenticeships and internships. If you are interested in attending, please see Ms. Arnett or Mrs. Ennis in 200A.
  • Quick Reminder of our School Rules:
    o No Backpacks are allowed during the school day.
    o No Hats or Hoods are allowed during the school day.
    o All students must be in homeroom unless there is an emergency.
    o Refrain from running in the hallways.

Presidents’ Day – February Break – A – B – C

  • Attention All Freshmen: All fundraising order forms and payment are due to Ms. Cote in room 212 today Please use this opportunity to fund raise your dues away. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Cote.
  • A college rep from Savannah College of Art and Design will be here today at 1:30 pm during period 8. Any Junior or Senior interested in meeting with the rep, please make sure you sign up for the visit in Naviance and print your confirmation page to use as your pass.
  • Tomorrow, the Boys Ice Hockey team will be having a home game against Enfield-East Granby- Stafford at 6:45 pm. at the Newington Ice Arena.
  • The Yard Goats will be holding a job fair tomorrow from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the stadium. They are hiring for positions as ushers, ticket takers, box office personnel, merchandising, concessions, catering, and others. If you have a resume, please bring it with you. They will also have applications available on-site.

  • Girls Basketball CCC Finals tonight at 7:00 pm at Glastonbury High School. They will play E.O. Smith. Hope to see you there!

  • Congratulations to the Girls’ Basketball team as they had a come back win last night to advance to the CCC Finals tomorrow at 7:00 pm at Glastonbury High School. They will play E.O. Smith. Hope to see you there!
