  • In 1998, 21 year old gay university of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard was abducted, robbed, tortured and left to die, tied to a fence on the prairie outside Laramie Wyoming by two local young men because he was gay. The Laramie Project explores how the murder impacted the town through interviews with actual people involved with the victim and the murderers as they come to terms with how their ordinary town could produce two people filled with such hate. Please come and experience this powerful piece of theater being produced by our Drama Club this tonight, tomorrow and Saturday at 7:00 pm. There is also a Saturday matinee at 2:00 pm.
  • A college rep from Bay Path University will be here tomorrow at 12:00 pm during period 6. Any Junior or Senior interested in meeting with the rep, please make sure you sign up for the visit in Naviance and print your confirmation page to use as your pass.
    Pre-sale tickets to the Thanksgiving Football game will be on sale in the Athletics office today through Wednesday. Students $2 and Adults $5. All tickets will be $5 at the gate.
  • Winter Sports registration will be open until November 16th. Any registration received after this will result in a late start for the student athlete.

If you’d like to donate your change, please bring it in a bag, labeled with your name on it. You will have a chance to win some Unicef merchandise and candy!   • Congratulations to the Girls Swimming and Diving Team’s 400 Free Relayers, Amber, Lindsay, Christine and Sarah for setting a new school record during State Finals! Newington Placed 12th overall in the Class L Championships. Congrats again to the Girls Swimming and Diving Team!
  • Last week over 20 Schools and 300 students participated in a Math League Competition. Congratulations to our NHS Math team for finishing FIRST in our division. This is our second straight first place finish. The team was led by Fiona Duong who had a perfect score! Well done!!!
