Presidents’ Day – February Break – A – B – C

  • Congratulations to the Girls’ Basketball team as they had a come back win last night to advance to the CCC Finals tomorrow at 7:00 pm at Glastonbury High School. They will play E.O. Smith. Hope to see you there!
  • Tonight’s Les Miz Music Rehearsal has been moved to after school today. Please double check the white board in the music hallway for this week’s schedule. March rehearsal schedules are now available. All Bios are due today. This will be a fantastic show!
  • There will be a Girls’ Lacrosse meeting after school today at 3:00 pm in the café. See you there!
  • Hola Spanish Club. We will be meeting today in Miss Redman’s room- Gracias!
  • Today, the Boys Ice Hockey team will be having a home game against Hall-Southington at 4:30 pm. at the Newington Ice Arena.
    The Box Office is open for the Spring Production of the musical Les Miserables. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for students and Senior Citizens. The box office is located in the auditorium lobby.
  • Attention All Freshmen: All fundraising order forms and payment are due to Ms. Cote in room 212, no later than Friday, February 22nd. Please use this opportunity to fund raise your dues away. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Cote.
  • Saturday, February 23rd the Boys Ice Hockey team will be having a home game against Enfield-East Granby- Stafford at 6:45 pm. at the Newington Ice Arena.
  • The Yard Goats will be holding a job fair on Saturday, February 23rd, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the stadium. They are hiring for positions as ushers, ticket takers, box office personnel, merchandising, concessions, catering, and others. If you have a resume, please bring it with you. They will also have applications available on-site.
  • Attention all Seniors. Have you ordered a yearbook yet? If you have not, orders will only be taken for the 2019 yearbook until March 1st. Information on how to purchase a yearbook can be found in all senior homerooms. If you are interested in purchasing a book, but will not be able to pay for it by March 1st, please see Mrs. Mannes in Stoddard house or Mrs. Narowski in room 321.
  • Do you think you have what it takes to beat the teachers and Newington Police Department in Basketball? We are looking for 4 teams, one for each grade to play. If so, please see Ms. Cote in room 212 to sign up to play in the 14th annual Ciara McDermott Basketball Classic to be held on Friday, March 29th. Any student is welcome to play.
  • Quick Reminder of our School Rules:
    o No Backpacks are allowed during the school day.
    o No Hats or Hoods are allowed during the school day.
    o All students must be in homeroom unless there is an emergency.
    o Refrain from running in the hallways.
