  • Attention all March Madness fans! There is a mega March Madness sale at the Trading Post. All prices are slashed! Head down to the trading post from Monday, March 18th to Friday, March 29th to get all your Newington gear and represent.
  • Tickets are available for Les Miz at the box office today or you can buy them at the door tonight. Show starts at 7 pm- come early and enjoy the show!
  • Baseball Tryouts will be held Saturday, March 16th and Monday, March 18th in the gym. All players need to wear appropriate baseball attire; bring your glove, helmet and sneakers- no cleats! See Coach Alaimo in room 313 with questions.
    Saturday- 9th and 10th graders from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm and 11th and 12th graders 7:30 pm-9:00 pm
    Monday-12th graders 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, 11th graders 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm and 9th and 10th graders 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm.
  • Covenant Village, a retirement home in Cromwell, is holding a hiring open house this Saturday, March 16th from 10 am – 1 pm. They are hiring for wait staff and dishwashers and have flexible schedules to accommodate school and after school activities. Please see Mrs. Ennis in 200A for more information.
  • A college rep from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will be here Monday, March 18th at 12:00 pm during period 6. Any Junior or Senior interested in meeting with the rep, please make sure you sign up for the visit in Naviance and print your confirmation page to use as your pass.
  • There will be a Diversity Club meeting after school on Monday, March 18th in room 318. All are welcome!
  • Hola! Spanish Club will meet Wednesday, March 20th after school in Ms. Redman’s room. Gracias!
  • Attention Art Club Members: we will be meeting Wednesday, March 20th and Thursday, March 27th. See you next week with new projects.
  • The NHS Library has 12 copies of this month’s book club title Salt to the Sea available for any interested students to borrow. Stop in to the library to get a copy! Book Club meets on March 28th to discuss the book. All are invited.
  • Think you’ve got the skills to win a Large, Flat-Screen TV? Sign up for the 3 point shooting contest at the Ciara McDermott Basketball Classic being held on Friday, March 29th. The cost to enter is $5.00 per person. Please see Officer Kaufmann to sign up.
  • There will be a field trip to the State Capitol for students interested in manufacturing and engineering on Wednesday, April 24th from 9 am – 1 pm to connect students to careers in manufacturing. Local manufacturing companies will be present to showcase their products and also speak with students about careers, apprenticeships and internships. If you are interested in attending, please see Ms. Arnett or Mrs. Ennis in 200A.
