  • Congratulations to the NHS Math Team for receiving their First Place trophy last night at the awards banquet. Evan Lopes earned MVP honors with the highest scoring average. Jordan Buslewicz and Fiona Duong also earned awards for achieving perfect scores during the season. Next up- State tournament! Good Luck!
  • Book Club has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 4th. All students interested in participating in this month’s discussion of Salt to the Sea should bring their copy of the book to the meeting.
  • Let’s represent the most, head to the Trading Post. Tomorrow is the LAST day of the Mega Madness Sale! Go buy your gear today before the sale ends.
  • Attention Juniors and Seniors! Prom ticket season is just around the corner. ALL Powerschool delinquencies must be paid prior to purchasing prom tickets. Please pay delinquencies to Mrs. Valenti in the Main Office. Any questions, please see Mrs. Valenti or one of your class advisors.
  • Attention all Students who are playing in the Ciara Basketball Classic. Please stop and see Ms. Cote in room 212 to pick up your t-shirts if you not done so already.
  • Come watch the NHS students beat the NHS Teachers and the Newington Police Department in games of basketball. The Ciara McDermott Basketball Classic is being held on Friday, March 29th in the NHS Gym. The 3- point contest starts at 6:00 pm and the games begin at 6:30 pm. There will be lots of fun had by all and chances to win prizes. Tickets are on sale this week during all lunch waves. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door. We hope to see you there!
  • Think you’ve got the skills to win a Large, Flat-Screen TV? Sign up for the 3 point shooting contest at the Ciara McDermott Basketball Classic being held on Friday, March 29th. The cost to enter is $5.00 per person. Please see Officer Kaufmann to sign up.
  • There will be a field trip to the State Capitol for students interested in manufacturing and engineering on Wednesday, April 24th from 9 am – 1 pm to connect students to careers in manufacturing. Local manufacturing companies will be present to showcase their products and also speak with students about careers, apprenticeships and internships. If you are interested in attending, please see Ms. Arnett or Mrs. Ennis in 200A.
