  • Please join us today from 2:30 to 4:00 pm for our Family of Learners Quarter 4 event. The last one of the year! As in the past, this is an event that you won’t want to miss. Free Ice Cream, Music, Dodgeball, Basketball and plenty of fun set up by the National Guard. See you there!

  • Pizza Wars is back! Are you ready to see who the best in town is? Come join us tonight at 7:30 pm for Pizza Wars. Pizza, Music, Drinks and Ice Cream! Tickets are on sale in the café for $5- Tickets will be sold for $6 at the door. There is also a state volleyball game this night. We are selling a bundle ticket that will get you into both. The game + pizza wars is $8. Bundle Tickets will be sold at the door for $10. Don’t wait. Get your tickets today!
  • Graduating Seniors may turn in their Chromebook, Powerbrick and bag:
    Beginning May 31st at the Library Media Center, before or after school.
    On June 5th and 6th, in the area outside the cafeteria during all lunch waves
    During Exam Week, before and after exams at the Library Media Center
  • UCONN Health will hold its next Biomedical Engineering Discovery Program this Saturday, June 1st from 9 am-2 pm for students aged 13 to 16. For this session, students will design and build prosthetic legs from common materials. If you are interested in attending, please see Mrs. Ennis in 200A or Ms. Freese in room 185 for registration details.
  • All student athletes and family members are welcome to attend the Newington Athletic Scholarships & Awards Night on Monday, June 3, 2019 beginning at 6:30 pm. We will recognize scholarship winners, different award winners, state qualifying teams and more.
  • Tuesday Night at the 16th annual HALO Awards, Newington Dramatic and Musical Productions garnered 16 award nominations. Please congratulate the following students for their wins. In the category of Best Comic Male Performance in a musical- Sam Johnson. In the category of Best Stage Management for Les Miserables- Cassie Mayer, Abby Coia and Alan Chow. For the category of Best Performance by a leading male in a Contemporary Musical- Eric Venables. Congratulations to all the nominees!
  • Attention Seniors: If you have a green dollar sign on your Power School screen, that means you owe money to the school and you have received your invoice during homeroom. All delinquencies must be paid prior to receiving your cap, gown and graduation tickets. Payments in cash can be made in the Main Office.
  • Attention Seniors: The 2019 yearbooks will be distributed after school on Thursday, June 6th from 2:30-3:30 in the cafeteria. If you have not paid for a book, but would like to purchase one, please see Mrs. Mannes in Stoddard House or Mrs. Narowski in room 321. There are a limited number of extra books and they will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Student Council needs your help! Every day after school, we are working on revamping the central courtyard garden to reopen it to students. This is a MASSIVE undertaking. We need all hands on deck if we hope to open it by the end of the school year. Come after school, listen to some music, hang out with your friends and let’s get to work. Honor Society Hours and STUCO points will be given out!
