  • Are you interested in designing our senior t-shirt? We want your input! The Class of 2020 is holding a contest to create a design for the blue & gold shirts that we will wear for spirit week and other events. Participate and show your class pride. You will receive more instructions in homeroom this week!
  • Do you have a good understanding of your classes? You should help others by joining Peer Tutor Club! If you are interested in tutoring, come to our first meeting on Wednesday the 11th. Let’s empower students to achieve their full academic potential.
  • The Scribe, Newington’s Student Publication is back! In The Scribe, students can find useful information related to the school community, pieces written by and for them, as well as pictures and art. We are looking for submissions of art, photography, poems, articles, short stories and games for our 1st edition. The first meeting will be Wednesday, September 11th at 2:30 pm in room 305. New and returning members are welcome. See Mr. Rutigliano in room 305 for more information.
  • Motorsports Club will be having its first meeting after school on Thursday, September 12th in room 329. New members are welcome. See you there!
  • Attention All Students: This is a reminder that Student Emergency Contact Sheets AND Student Handbook Awareness Statements are due to homeroom teachers by September 12th.
  • If you are interested in running for class office, now is the time! See Mr. Hartley in the library for required paperwork. Elections will be held on September 23rd. Paperwork is due on September 13th.
  • This Friday, wear your Red, White & Blue. To our first responders we stay true. T-shirts will be available all week at the Trading Post for just $10.
  • We have begun to hand out parking stickers. Come to the main office to obtain a Parking Sticker Form. Last year’s sticker is not valid. Vehicles must be registered every year. If you are parking on school grounds you must have a valid parking sticker.
  • The NHS Book Club is back! Interested students are asked to stop by the library today to sign up and get their copy of Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner. Mr. Hartley and Mr. Righi will be hosting the first book club discussion after school on Thursday, September 26th.
  • Quick Reminder of our School Rules:
    o No Backpacks are allowed during the school day.
    o No Hats or Hoods are allowed during the school day.
    o All students must be in homeroom unless there is an emergency.
    o Refrain from running in the hallways.
