  • College reps from Marywood University- PA and Paul Mitchell School of North Haven will be visiting today. Any Junior or Senior interested in meeting with the reps, please make sure you sign up for the visit in Naviance and print your confirmation page to use as your pass.
  • Are you interested in designing our senior t-shirt? We want your input! The Class of 2020 is holding a contest to create a design for the blue & gold shirts that we will wear for spirit week and other events. Participate and show your class pride.
  • Attention all seniors who have not had their pictures taken yet by Art Rich Studios.  A Photographer will be here on Tuesday, September 17th to take pictures of seniors who have not yet been photographed.  There is no cost for this one picture and it will be the one that is used in the yearbook.  Students who do not have their picture taken will not be in the senior portrait section of the 2020 yearbook and will not be able to submit a senior quote.  To have your picture taken, please go to the auditorium before school, during lunch or an open study period. Please see Ms. Correll in Stoddard House or Mrs. Narowski in room 321 with questions.
  • Anyone interested in joining the NHS Math Team should come to our first meeting Wednesday, September 18th at 2:30 pm in room 228. See Mr. Miller with any questions.
  • Anyone interested in joining the Table Tennis Club should come to our first meeting Thursday, September 19th at 2:30 pm in room 228.  Please see Mr. Miller if you have any questions.
  • The NHS Intersectional Feminist Society is back! Join us in room 336 on Wednesday, September 18th to discuss activities and plans for the year. All are welcome.
  • We have begun to hand out parking stickers. Come to the main office to obtain a Parking Sticker Form.  Last year’s sticker is not valid. Vehicles must be registered every year. If you are parking on school grounds you must have a valid parking sticker.
  • The NHS Book Club is back! Interested students are asked to stop by the library today to sign up and get their copy of Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner.  Mr. Hartley and Mr. Righi will be hosting the first book club discussion after school on Thursday, September 26th.
  • Are you interested in volunteering and giving back to your community? Join Key Club Where you can sign up to go to different events around town that need your help. Make a difference! Our first Key Club meeting will be on Monday, August 16th in the cafeteria at 3 pm.
  • Don’t know how to play chess but want to learn, come and join the Chess Club! New and experienced players are welcome. We will be meeting after school on Mondays in the band room. Oure first meeting will be Monday, September 16th.
  • Stop the stigma-Start the conversation is a new club at NHS. Our club will address mental health awareness and substance abuse. Please join us at our 1st meeting, on Wednesday September 25th at 2:30 in room119 or see Ms. Redman for more details.
  • Congratulations to everyone who auditioned for “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream”. The cast list is posted in the auditorium lobby. Please initial the list and sign up for the remind code. Our read through will be Monday at 3pm. Please come with any schedule conflicts so we can put together a schedule.The first meeting for National English Honor Society will be Wed. September 18th at 2:30 in the lower library.
  • The Library is seeking volunteers for half day Tuesdays as well as for an event on Sunday, September 22nd. Please see Mrs. Ennis in room 200A for more information or to sign-up.
  • Quick Reminder of our School Rules:
    o No Backpacks are allowed during the school day.
    o No Hats or Hoods are allowed during the school day.
    o All students must be in homeroom unless there is an emergency.
    o Refrain from running in the hallways.
