  • College reps from two colleges will be visiting today. Smith College will be here at 10:00 am. Elms College will be here at 1:30 pm. Any Senior interested in meeting with the rep, please make sure you sign up for the visit in Naviance and print your confirmation page to use as your pass.
  • This is a reminder to any students taking the ECE UCONN course this year. Today is the last day to submit your ECE applications. Any questions please see your school counselor.
  • Are you interested in volunteering? So you want to give back to your community? Join Key Club. Our first meeting is today after school in the cafeteria at 3:00 pm. Hope to see you there.
  • Don’t know how to place chess but want to learn how? Come and join Chess Club! New and experienced players are welcome. We will be meeting after school on Mondays in the band room. Our first meeting will be held today. Hope to see you there!
  • The Library is seeking volunteers for half day Tuesdays as well as for an event on Sunday, September 22nd. Please see Mrs. Ennis in 200A for more information or to sign up.
  • The first meeting of the NHS Latin Club will be held tomorrow in room 310. All are welcome.
  • Are you interested in designing our senior t-shirt? We want your input! The Class of 2020 is holding a contest to create a design for the blue & gold shirts that we will wear for spirit week and other events. Shirt designs are due to Mrs. Zamsky Hunt in room 332 by tomorrow.
  • Attention all seniors who have not had their pictures taken yet by Art Rich Studios. A Photographer will be here on Tuesday, September 17th to take pictures of seniors who have not yet been photographed. There is no cost for this one picture and it will be the one that is used in the yearbook. Students who do not have their picture taken will not be in the senior portrait section of the 2020 yearbook and will not be able to submit a senior quote. To have your picture taken, please go to the auditorium before school, during lunch or an open study period. Please see Ms. Correll in Stoddard House or Mrs. Narowski in room 321 with questions.
  • Anyone interested in joining the NHS Math Team should come to our first meeting Wednesday, September 18th at 2:30 pm in room 228. See Mr. Miller with any questions.
  • The NHS Intersectional Feminist Society is back! Join us in room 336 on Wednesday, September 18th to discuss activities and plans for the year. All are welcome.
  • Anyone interested in joining the Table Tennis Club should come to our first meeting Thursday, September 19th at 2:30 pm in room 228. Please see Mr. Miller if you have any questions.
  • We have begun to hand out parking stickers. Come to the main office to obtain a Parking Sticker Form. Last year’s sticker is not valid. Vehicles must be registered every year. If you are parking on school grounds you must have a valid parking sticker.
  • The NHS Book Club is back! Interested students are asked to stop by the library today to sign up and get their copy of Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner. Mr. Hartley and Mr. Righi will be hosting the first book club discussion after school on Thursday, September 26th.
  • Quick Reminder of our School Rules:
    o No Backpacks are allowed during the school day.
    o No Hats or Hoods are allowed during the school day.
    o All students must be in homeroom unless there is an emergency.
    o Refrain from running in the hallways.
