  • Spanish Honor Society acceptances are due to Mrs. Rodriguez today. Please stop by before or after school, during period 3 or during homeroom.
  • Attention seniors who have not purchased a yearbook. There is a limited quantity available to purchase. Please see either Ms. Correll in Stoddard House or Mrs. Narowski in room 321 to pay by cash or check. Books are $85.00 and will be sold on a first come-first served basis. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get your yearbook.
  • Looking in Theatre, the teen family life theatre, will hold auditions for it’s forty-third season at the greater Hartford academy of the Arts. March 7th from 2 pm to 6 pm, March 9th from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, March 10th from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm and March 11th from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. See Ms. Tigno for more information.
  • Attention: Ms. Sigmon’s Semester 1 Drawing Students must pick up their remaining art work by this coming Friday, March 6th. Otherwise, it will be thrown out. The room will be open during any free period that you have.
  • Think you have got the skills to win a Large, Flat-Screen TV? Sign up for the 3 point shooting contest at the Ciara McDermott Basketball Classic being held on Friday, March 27th. The cost to enter is $5.00 per person. Please see Officer Kaufmann to sign up.
  • The Teachers are Ready, Willing and Able!! Do you think you can beat the Newington Teachers and Newington Police Department in a game of basketball? If so, please sign up to play in the Ciara McDermott Basketball Classic being held on Friday, March 27th in the NHS Gym. We will have teams from all four grades. Please see Ms. Cote in room 212 or Mr. Ficocelli in the Doran House if you have any questions.
  • Adelphi University in New York has a number of 1 or 2 week summer enrichment opportunities available, some of which are available for credit. A variety of topics are available such as Acting and Musical Theater, Art & Technology, Business and Entrepreneurship, Psychology and Pop Culture, Teacher Education, Nursing and many more. Please see Mrs. Ennis in 200A for more information.
  • There will be a field trip to Career Conn 2020 at Dunkin Donuts Park on Thursday, March 19th from 8:15 am - 12:00 pm. If you are interested in occupational careers including nursing, healthcare, automotive, culinary arts, computers, hairdressing, cosmetology, manufacturing, construction, along with many others, this will be a great opportunity to speak with professionals and learn more. If you are interested in attending, please pick up permission forms in 200A.
  • This is a reminder about parking stickers. Come to the main office to obtain a Parking Sticker Form. Last year’s sticker is not valid. Vehicles must be registered every year. If you are parking on school grounds you must have a valid parking sticker. Students should not be parking by the tennis courts unless they have a registered National Honor Society Sticker on their car. The Security Guards will begin enforcing parking violations.
  • Quick Reminder of our School Rules:
    o No Backpacks are allowed during the school day.
    o No Hats or Hoods are allowed during the school day.
    o All students must be in homeroom unless there is an emergency.
    o Refrain from running in the hallways.
