  • The NHS Unicef chapter will be collecting coins to support Unicef’s efforts to help children worldwide. If you’d like to donate your change, please bring it in a bag, labeled with your name on it. You will have a chance to win some Unicef merchandise! Bring your coins to the main office or room 336.
  • The NHS Library will be closed today Period 5 for open study. As a reminder, today during all lunch waves in the Gym Lobby, all 9th Grade Students will be receiving a new Chromebook. In order to receive a new device, students must bring:
    o Old Chromebook (must power on)
    o Powerbrick (a.k.a. charger)
    o School-provided Case
    o School ID
    If you miss this opportunity, you can visit the NHS Media Center after this date, on your own, before or after school. The IT/ET Dept. is looking forward to issuing you a new device.
  • Winter Sports preseason meetings have begun!
    o Girls Basketball today at 2:30 pm in room 318
    o Ice Hockey, today at 6:00 pm at the Ice Arena.
    o Track, Thursday 10/25 at 3:30 pm in the Library
    o Swimming, Thursday 10/25 at 3:30 pm on the Pool Deck
    o Wrestling, Thursday 10/25 @ 4:15 pm in the café.
  • Reminder to Ms. Sigmon’s Period 4 Drawing Class: Please bring your charged chromebook to class for tomorrow.
  • All students interested in participating in a discussion of Jason Reynolds’ All American Boys are invited to join the book club tomorrow after school in the NHS Library. Please bring your copy of the book with you.
  • Spanish Club will meet tomorrow at 2:30 pm in Miss Redman’s room
  • Fashion Club will meet on tomorrow after school. All are welcome.
  • Attention Seniors: Join us for a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, November 10th hosted by Project Graduation. Parents are invited too!
  • Reminder! We are looking for you to submit Veterans’ Day Photos of a special veteran in your life! Please submit photos to Ms. Slater or Mr. Urbanski.
  • NHS Juniors: On November 30th you will have the opportunity to go on a college tour at CCSU. Based on your anticipated major, you’ll be split into small groups for an intimate college campus experience. There are only 50 spots available and will be given on a first come first serve basis. To sign up, please visit the Main School Counseling Office or complete the survey link available by your homeroom teacher.
  • A reminder that cars need to be registered ASAP. Only students that are registered in the National Honor Society are allowed to park by the tennis courts.
  • Quick Reminder of our School Rules:
    o No Backpacks are allowed during the school day.
    o No Hats or Hoods are allowed during the school day.
    o All students must be in homeroom unless there is an emergency.
