  • Final Reminder: ALL Rito Kappa Social Studies Honor Society applications are due today by 2:30 to room 300!

  • Attention all seniors who are interested in the University of New Haven! There will be an Instant Decision Day Monday, November 25th with an admission counselor from the University of New Haven, who will be meeting with any interest applicant. For more information on what you will need for the event please see your school counselor, and don’t forget to sign up for the event on Naviance (under upcoming college visits).
  • The 13th Annual Stuff-A-High School is in Full swing- Please consider donating books, music or art supplies for high schoolers or young adults, drop boxes are outside the library, counseling and room 200. Share the joy of the Arts!  
  • The NHS Adventure Club will meet this coming Monday, November 18th at 2:30 in Mr. Sepko’s room to discuss plans for our upcoming PARKOUR!!!! TRIP IN EARLY December. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
  • Friends of Football will be throwing out t-shirts at tonight’s Football game. Come support the team as they push for the playoffs on Senior Night and take a chance at catching a shirt. 
  • This is the last day to participate in the National Enterprise Week raffle sponsored by FBLA. Drop by the table in the café to answer the question of the day. All correct answers will be entered into a drawing for a sweet treat surprise.

  • The Stop the Stigma Club meeting has been moved from Monday November 18th to Wednesday November 20th after school in room #119 – Ms. Redman’s room. All new members are still welcome!
  • Attention Seniors- University of New Haven is hosting an Instant Decision Day on Monday, November 25th at 10:00 am.  Please sign up in Naviance if you are planning on attending the University of New Haven.
  • Attention all grade 11 students over the next few weeks you will be receiving a replacement Chromebook.  You will be receiving more information in advisory.
  • Due to the conflict with Spirit Week, the senior panoramic picture that was scheduled for tomorrow in the gym has been postponed until December to allow all senior who want to participate in Decades Day to do so. Once a new date is scheduled, all senior homerooms will be notified. Please see Ms. Correll in Stoddard House or Mrs. Narowski in room 321 with questions.
  • This is a reminder about parking stickers. Come to the main office to obtain a Parking Sticker Form.  Last year’s sticker is not valid. Vehicles must be registered every year. If you are parking on school grounds you must have a valid parking sticker. Students should not be parking by the tennis courts unless they have a registered National Honor Society Sticker on their car. The Security Guards will begin enforcing parking violations.

  • The Latin Club will again be selling Blue and Gold Mardi Gras beads for Spirt Day. Beads are 4 for $1.00 (2 gold and 2 blue) and are available in room 310 before and after school and during lunch waves.
  • It is National Enterprise Week. National Enterprise Week is celebrated to support entrepreneurship. In order for Newington High School to celebrate entrepreneurs, there will be a table in the Cafeteria sponsored by FBLA. Visit the table and answer the question correctly to be entered into a drawing for a sweet treat. Please stop by the FBLA table and answer the question of the day in celebration of National Enterprise Week.
