Newington DECA is proud to announce that its school-based enterprise (SBE) has earned Gold Certification for the 2025-2026 school year, one of only six schools in Connecticut to achieve this distinction. This massive undertaking was led by Abigail Pratt, Audrey DeFrancesco, and Kaitlyn Dugas, with the support of over 35 other DECA students.  Their comprehensive report addressed 42 performance indicators including topics such as marketing, finance, and human resource operations. This is the first year the chapter participated in the SBE submission and earned the highest recognition.  Newington will be officially recognized this April at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia and two students will present the selling component as well as participate in professional development sessions.  The Storm Supply, the Newington school store,  provides students with hands-on learning experiences in a variety of business areas, while allowing students to propose new ideas and learn from mistakes.
