A fantastic day of discovery at Alkegen!

Posted Date: 05/06/26 (02:18 PM)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share what a rewarding experience our students had today at Alkegen in Glastonbury. We were honored to be one of only two schools invited to participate, joining students from Madina Academy of Windsor for a day centered on future careers and real-world skills.

It was a proud moment to watch our students step out of the classroom and into a professional environment. They spent the day investigating the worlds of IT Cybersecurity and Environmental Sustainability, asking questions and getting a firsthand look at how these fields impact our world. Beyond the tech side, the time spent with Alkegen’s HR team gave them some truly practical advice on what it takes to succeed after graduation.

A huge thank you to Junior Achievement of Southwest New England and the entire Alkegen team for being such welcoming hosts. It’s experiences like these that really help our students see the connection between their hard work in school and the exciting opportunities waiting for them in the future.
